His death was a hoax. Remember the times when he was still down with depression and he was having a huge debt on his ass. He couldnt afford to pay everything and he was on the verge of losing Neverland. Of course, he wouldnt want that to happen. Who would? So one of his brother recommended a so called "rich business man/doctor" to help MJ, by the name of Tohme Tohme. He really did help MJ to pay off his debts and saved Neverland. Mj trusted him so much, that he even let that guy sign his cheques for him. Ridiculous but true. Truth is that guy's mobb affilated and has records or Frauds and threatening.

So he faked his death, probly with his family members knowing it. Fly over to some kinda indian country where you'll have to cover yourself from head to toe. & just stay there and hide from Tohme Thome. He did mention that he was concern about his family's and his safety.
